From 27 March to 1 November 2026, the Tretyakov Gallery in Lavrushinsky Lane (Rooms 49–54) presents the exhibition Fragile Art: Pastel from the funds of the graphic art of the XVIII – early XX centuries, featuring around 200 works – from Erikssen’s portraits to masterpieces by Levitan, Serov, Vrubel and the artists of the World of Art movement.
Because pastel is exceptionally vulnerable to light, humidity and vibration, these pieces rarely leave the museum’s vaults, making this showing a unique chance to admire them in all their shimmering brilliance.
